Steam shower cabins (you'll find dedicated shower cabins and a few steam generators included in our range) create a humid, sauna-like session in an enclosed cabin and work well for short, restorative treatments. Whirlpool baths provide a deep, buoyant soak with jets and need a larger footprint and more plumbing and power than a shower. Which wall panel size and finish will give the most seamless spa look in a typical UK bathroom?

Full-height panels at 2400mm high are standard in our range and reduce horizontal joins; you can choose 2400 x 1200mm panels (Multipanel Calacatta Marble) for wider, uninterrupted runs or 2400 x 598mm panels (Naturepanel Cuneo Oak) for narrower walls and easier handling. Stone-look finishes such as Calacatta or Matt Carrara Marble create a timeless spa vibe, while wood-effect panels warm the room. two 2400 x 1200mm marble panels will cover a wide shower wall with a minimal number of seams for a calm, continuous surface.

What are the practical differences between a thermostatic dual-head bar mixer and a digital shower?

Thermostatic dual-head bar mixers (Architeckt, Park Lane) mechanically keep temperature stable and usually cost from around the current product price to the current product price in our range; they give you an overhead and a handset for flexible spray patterns. Digital showers (the Mira Platinum digital at around the current product price) offer precise temperature control, presets and smart features, making them excellent if you want programmable convenience. Go thermostatic for reliable simplicity and good value, and digital if you want advanced control and presets.

What freestanding bath size should you choose if you want to comfortably share the bath with someone?

For a comfortable two-person soak aim for a bath around 1700mm long, such as the Affine Montriond 1700mm shown, which gives generous length and often includes a built-in waste for a neat finish. If you're tight on floor space but still want a freestanding look, a corner freestanding like the Montpellier 1510 x 905mm makes better use of a corner while still offering roomy internal space.
