Which Redring heater is best if you want to fill your kitchen sink with hot water?

For filling a sink you'll want a stored water heater such as the Redring TS, which can store up to 10 litres of water heated to around 70°C so you can draw a quantity of hot water on demand. Instant Powerstream models heat on demand and are better for running taps rather than filling a basin. the TS will let you fill a standard kitchen sink with hot water to wash up, whereas an instant unit is more suited to handwashing or running a single tap.

Can a Redring Powerstream heater serve two sinks, and where can it be installed?

Yes. The Redring Powerstream is designed to heat water instantly for up to two sinks and can be fitted either above or below your basin, giving you flexibility in tight spaces. That makes it handy if you have a small kitchen with a main sink and a prep sink, or a cloakroom with two adjacent basins.

How do the 9.5kW, 10.8kW and 12kW Powerstream models differ, and which one suits you?

The kW rating controls how much hot water the unit can deliver at flow; 9.5kW is suitable for a single basin or light use, 10.8kW is a mid-range option for slightly higher flow, and 12kW gives the strongest flow for two sinks or heavier use. If you mostly need hot water for one sink and occasional higher flow, the 10.8kW is a sensible compromise; pick 12kW if you regularly run two taps at once.

What's the difference between the 3kW over-sink hand wash units and the Powerstream instant heaters?

The 3kW Redring over-sink units (including the infrared RAHW3) are purpose-made for handwashing, compact, lower output and, in the infrared model, touch-free operation for hygiene. Powerstream models are higher output (9.5–12kW) and intended to supply one or two sinks with stronger flow. So use a 3kW over-sink unit for cloakrooms or staff washrooms, and a Powerstream where you need higher flow or multiple outlets.

Will a Redring water heater fit neatly inside my vanity unit or cupboard?

Yes, the range is marketed as ideal for neat installation inside cupboards or vanity units. Several models are very compact, so they tuck away easily under a basin. Always check the exact dimensions of the model you're considering to make sure it suits your particular cupboard space.
