How do I know whether a corner radiator valve will fit my radiator and pipework?

Look at where your pipework meets the radiator: corner valves are designed for side inlet radiators where the pipe comes from the wall and for bottom inlet radiators with pipework running along the wall. Most corner valves on the page use a 15mm connection, so measure your pipe or check existing valves to confirm. If your pipes come up from the floor or run along the wall into a side inlet, you would instead need straight or angled connections respectively.

Should I choose a thermostatic or a manual corner valve for my bathroom radiator?

Thermostatic valves (36 listed) let you control and limit the radiator temperature automatically, so they're ideal if you want to regulate heat in a bathroom or hallway; manual valves (14 listed) are cheaper and simpler if you only need on/off control. For a heated towel rail, a thermostatic TRV helps avoid overheating towels and keeps energy use down. If you want precise temperature control and convenience, pick a thermostatic set.

Which finish and style will best match my radiator and bathroom look?

Match the valve finish to your radiator and other ironmongery: the range includes chrome, matt black, matt white, anthracite, brass, nickel and grey. For a traditional radiator, crosshead or wooden-headed traditional valves suit the look; for modern, choose minimalist designer valves or square chrome options. For example, a chrome towel radiator will read as cohesive with a chrome designer TRV, while a brushed brass valve will complement brass taps and fixtures.

Do corner valve packs usually include a lockshield, and do you need one?

Many packs include a lockshield - 39 listings note lockshield included - because a lockshield is used to balance the system and set flow to other radiators. Buying a TRV and lockshield set simplifies matching finishes and ensures you have both controls ready. If a pack does not include a lockshield, you'll need to buy one separately to balance the system properly.

Can corner valves be used with towel radiators and dual fuel setups?

Yes - there are corner TRVs specifically for towel radiators and several dual fuel TRV options shown, such as Towelrads dual fuel sets and Solaro dual fuel designer valves. Dual fuel TRVs let you run the towel rail on central heating and switch to an electric element when the central heating is off. If you want electric-only capability for warmer months, choose a dual fuel corner TRV set.
