If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to spruce up your bathtub but don’t want to fork out on a new bath altogether, then say hello to our stylish range of tongue and groove bath panels. A bath panel can be the perfect way of modernising your bathroom suite without having to break the bank! They’re incredibly quick and easy to install and come in a variety of designs and finishes which can really upgrade any bathroom.

Bath panels don’t need to be plain and traditional, especially when they can take up quite a lot of design space in a small area. Luckily for bathrooms across the country, we offer a selection of beautifully timeless tongue and groove bath panels. They’re made from moisture resistant MDF, ideal for when water is splashed around, and they also feature stylish detailing which looks fantastic in both traditional and contemporary bathrooms alike. Our range of tongue and groove bath panels are available in a number of different lengths to suit all sizes of rectangular baths. They’re also extremely practical, as they work brilliantly by covering up any unsightly bath supports or plumbing parts that you’d rather was out of sight.

The classic tongue and groove styling adds a unique dimension to the look of your bath, without being too overpowering. These stunning bath panels also exude style and sophistication in abundance with their smart tongue and groove design will complement both traditional and modern style bathroom suites and will finish your bathroom off to perfection.

In our collection of tongue and groove bath panels, you’ll find both side and end panels, so you can easily cover every side of your bath. Each tongue and groove bath panel comes with a fantastic guarantee for added peace of mind, along with free delivery.

How do I pick the right panel size for my bath?

Measure the visible length and height of the side or end you want to cover and match that to the sizes available, the range on offer includes lengths around 601–700mm for ends and 1651–1700mm for sides, with heights typically in the 440–479mm or 500–599mm bands. For a standard 1700mm rectangular bath you would normally choose a 1700mm side panel and a 700mm end panel; packs of 1700/700mm are sold together for that reason. If your bath has an unusual height, check the panel height band to ensure a clean, even look.

Are tongue and groove panels suitable for a wet bathroom environment?

Yes, these panels are made from moisture-resistant MDF specifically designed to cope with splashes and normal bathroom humidity. They are not intended to be constantly submerged, so they work best on built-in rectangular baths where they protect and hide bath supports and pipework. The gloss finishes also help shed water and are easy to wipe clean, which is useful in everyday bathroom use.

Will tongue and groove panels work with a freestanding bath?

No, tongue and groove bath panels are designed for built-in rectangular baths and for concealing the bath apron, supports and plumbing. Freestanding or roll-top baths sit away from walls and have exposed bases, so they don't have the same straight sides or end faces that these panels are made to cover. If you have a freestanding bath you'll need a solution that's made for that style.

Which colour and finish should you choose to suit your bathroom style?

Gloss white is a classic choice that reflects light and makes a small bathroom feel brighter, while grey gloss offers a softer contemporary look and black gloss gives a bold, dramatic contrast. The tongue and groove detailing is versatile and complements both traditional and modern suites, so match the panel colour to your tiles, vanity and metal finishes, a black gloss panel with brushed brass taps creates a striking modern-traditional mix. Brands like Ceramica and Park Lane offer these colour choices across the range.

Is it better to buy individual side or end panels, or a side-and-end pack?

Buy a pack when you need to cover both the long side and the short end, packs such as the 1700/700mm combos give matching tongue and groove panels for a cohesive finish. If you only need to replace a single damaged end or side, individual panels (end-only or side-only) are available and usually less costly. Packs also take the guesswork out of matching heights and finishes, and the products come with a manufacturer guarantee for reassurance.
