Quadrant Shower Trays

Quadrant shower trays are ideal for smaller bathrooms that could benefit from a full shower enclosure and tray. They're supplied as either an easy plumb tray or a low profile, slimline tray and feature a corner waste hole so you won't be accidentally closing it with your feet. Easy plumb, adjustable height trays allow space underneath for waste pipes while low profile trays sit directly on the floor. The shower trays are all finished in a neutral, crisp white so they'll blend perfectly with any ensuite or bathroom.

What size quadrant tray should you choose for a small bathroom or ensuite?

For a very compact space, an 800 x 800mm tray is a common choice and will fit neatly into tight corners. If you want a bit more room to move, 900 x 900mm is the most popular and comfortable option, while 1000 x 1000mm gives the best showering space if your floorplan allows. Think about the enclosure style too: sliding doors work well with these square dimensions and won't need extra swing room.

How do low profile, raised and easy plumb (adjustable height) trays differ, and which suits your floor?

Low profile trays (about 25–45mm high) sit directly on the floor and give a minimal step-in, ideal when you can align the tray waste with your existing floor waste. Raised trays (around 90–140mm) create a plinth and are useful if you need room for the trap and pipework beneath the tray. Do quadrant trays come with non-slip surfaces and is it worth getting one?

Yes, several quadrant trays in the range are supplied with non-slip surfaces; the filters show both non-slip and smooth options, and there are specific non-slip models from Podium and Mira Flight Safe. A non-slip finish is a sensible safety feature for family bathrooms or if you're concerned about wet feet on a smooth tray. If you prefer a textured floor but like the look of stone resin, look for the stone resin non-slip variants to combine aesthetics and safety.

What does waste position (corner vs centre) mean for your shower layout?

A corner waste places the outlet near the tray's curve so you're less likely to stand on or block it, which is handy with quadrant enclosures and sliding doors. Centre waste is more common and works well with standard trap positions under the tray; the product range includes both options so you can match the tray to your existing plumbing.
