Which type of freezer should you choose for your kitchen — integrated, under-counter, tall or freestanding?

Think about space and how much you freeze. Under-counter integrated freezers, commonly described as 82 cm models, suit small kitchens or if you want a neat run of cabinets, while tall freezers around 1769–1778 mm give the largest capacity for busy families or bulk buying. Freestanding models are easiest to move and can offer widths around 596 mm and greater depth for more internal volume. If you want hidden storage that matches your units, choose an integrated under-counter or built-in tall; choose freestanding if you need flexibility.

How much capacity and how many drawers will you actually need?

Capacity in our range ranges from about 72 litres up to around 218 litres, and drawer counts from 2 to 9, so match what you store. If you're single or a couple who shops weekly, 70–100 litres with 2–3 drawers is usually enough. For a family or if you freezer-batch and bulk buy, aim for 210–218 litres with 7–9 drawers so everything has its place. a 212-litre tall freezer with seven drawers keeps meat, vegetables and ready meals separate and easy to access.

What's the difference between No Frost, Frost Free and Low Frost, and which is best for you?

No Frost or Frost Free systems actively prevent ice build-up so you rarely, if ever, need to defrost manually, which is ideal for convenience and consistent temperatures. Low Frost models reduce ice but may still need occasional defrosting, and they can be a cost-saving middle ground. Choose No Frost if you want minimal maintenance and even cooling; pick Low Frost if you are happy with occasional care and a lower purchase price.

Which dimensions should you check before buying a built-in or integrated freezer?

Measure the aperture height, width and depth and compare with common sizes shown here, heights ranging from about 712 mm up to 1778 mm, widths from roughly 540 mm to 600 mm, and depths around 545–560 mm. Also note the model tag such as "82 cm" for under-counter units which corresponds to 820 mm high; many integrated freezers list widths like 558 mm or 596 mm. Always match the exact model dimensions to your cabinet opening so the door fits flush and drawers can be pulled out comfortably.
