The higher 1400rpm spin extracts more water, so loads come out drier and need less tumble-drying or airing; the 1200rpm will be gentler and can mean fewer creases. If you want an integrated look in your kitchen, the built-in variant sits flush with cabinetry; if you may move the appliance or want more placement freedom, the free-standing model is easier.
