Start by measuring the available wall width and the space you need to move around; narrower bathrooms often suit 400–500mm vanities, while family bathrooms benefit from 600mm or 1200mm double vanities. Match the mirror cabinet width to the basin area, a 600mm vanity pairs well with a 600 x 700mm mirror cabinet like the Ravini, while a compact cloakroom can use a 350 x 400mm Caldini mirror above a 400mm vanity. Also allow a little clearance either side so drawers and doors open easily.

If you want a traditional look and an easy-to-move piece, a freestanding unit such as the Origin or Stockton 500–600mm works well.
