Which door type should I go for, sliding, pivot, bi-fold or quadrant, for a small bathroom?

For tight spaces, a bi-fold or sliding door is often best because neither needs a large swing area; you'll find bi-folds in common widths such as 760–1000mm and sliding doors up to 1400mm. A quadrant enclosure (800x800mm or 900x900mm are typical) sits neatly into a corner and frees up floor space. Pivot doors offer a cleaner single‑leaf look but need room for the door to open. If you have a narrow alcove, pick a 760mm bi-fold; if you want a wide, barrier‑free opening on a straight run, a 1200–1400mm sliding door works well.

Do I need a tray, and what are the benefits of the raised non-slip trays shown with some enclosures?

Trays give a defined, watertight base and you'll see many Luxura quadrant and enclosure packs included in our range with raised non‑slip trays and wastes (the 800x800 and 900x900 quadrant sets). Raised trays help stop splashes escaping and make retrofitting easier where the existing floor drains aren't moved. The non‑slip surface improves safety underfoot, especially for families or older users. The trade‑off is the small step up into the tray, which isn't suitable if you need level access.

What sizes and depths are available, and how should that influence your choice?

Luxura covers a wide range of standard widths,700, 760, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1400 and even 1700mm,and depths commonly include 700, 760, 800, 900 and 1000mm, with many popular sets at 760x760, 800x800, 900x900 and 1200x800. Match the enclosure dimensions to the space you have and the type of door you prefer; a 1200x800 sliding enclosure suits a longer alcove, while an 800x800 quadrant works well in a small corner. Keep in mind the tray depth if supplied, since some packs list a raised tray as part of the size.

How tough and safe is the glass and the hardware on Luxura enclosures?

Most of the Luxura products in our range here specify 6mm toughened glass, which is a common safety thickness that balances strength and manageable weight. Hardware comes in practical finishes such as Black and Brushed Brass, shown across the range, and many products carry high customer ratings (typically 4.7–4.9), which reflects reliable build and finishes. If you want a heavier, more rigid feel you might look for thicker glass options elsewhere, but for everyday domestic use 6mm toughened glass is a suitable, safe choice.
