How do I work out which microwave size and capacity will fit my kitchen and cooking needs?

Look at both the external dimensions and the cavity litres: Prima offers built-in widths around 594–595 mm, heights of 382–455 mm and depths from 316 mm up to 530 mm, with cavity sizes of 20, 21 and 35 litres. If you mainly reheat single portions or have limited cupboard space, a 20–21 L mini model with a 250–270 mm turntable and shallower depth (around 316–338 mm) will suit you. For family meals or cooking larger dishes, a 35 L model with a 315 mm turntable and deeper 530 mm cavity gives the space you need. Measure the cupboard or space where the appliance will sit and match those dimensions to avoid surprises.

Do I need a grill function, and which Prima models include it?

A grill is useful if you want to brown or crisp food as well as microwave it; three of the Prima models in our range are Microwave & Grill variants, such as the 800W PRCM210 and the 1000W PRCM450/PRCM451. The grill adds versatility for tasks like finishing gratins or crisping a sandwich, while plain microwave models focus on quick heating and defrosting. If you frequently want browned finishes or toasting, go for a microwave & grill; if you only reheat and defrost, a simpler microwave will do.

What microwave power should I choose for speed and even cooking?

Prima microwaves are offered in 700 W, 800 W and 1000 W ratings; higher wattage cooks and reheats faster and is better for full meals, while lower wattage like 700 W is fine for simple reheating and delicate defrosting. a 1000 W model will reheat family-sized portions more quickly, whereas a 700 W mini model gives gentler heat for baby food or small portions. Remember you can use the multiple cooking levels to reduce power for delicate items.

Which finishes will suit my kitchen style and how do they perform?

The range comes in black, stainless steel and black with stainless steel trim, so you can match contemporary stainless kitchens or opt for a sleek black look in darker schemes. Stainless steel is durable and hides fingerprints less than high-gloss black, while black models give a seamless, modern appearance in fitted cabinetry. If you want a balanced look, the black and stainless steel option blends both aesthetics.

Are Prima microwaves safe and family-friendly features well covered?

Yes; Prima microwaves include a child safety lock, a digital timer and multiple cooking levels (three, four or five) to help prevent overcooking and keep operation straightforward. The timer lets you set precise cook times so food is not left running, and the cooking levels let you select gentler power for defrosting or higher power for quick reheats. use a lower level to defrost meat slowly, then a higher level to finish cooking, while the child lock prevents accidental use.
