I have a small bathroom — what bath size will fit and still be comfortable to use?

For a compact space you'll usually look at 1500–1600mm lengths and 700mm widths, which are shown in the range (1500, 1550, 1600 and 700 included in our range). A 1600 x 700mm single-ended bath, like many Tesi or i.life options, gives you reasonable legroom while keeping the footprint modest. If you need to squeeze into an ensuite, a 1500 or 1550mm bath will save space but expect a slightly more tucked-up position. Pick a straight single-ended model to maximise usable floor area and allow for a standard side panel.

What's the difference between single-ended, double-ended and P- or L-shaped shower baths — which suits my family bathroom?

Single-ended baths have taps and waste at one end and work well when you want a shower at the opposite end or need a panel on one long side. Double-ended baths are symmetrical with central waste and are more comfortable for two people or if you want a centred headrest. P-shaped and L-shaped shower baths combine a bathing area with a broader showering zone; P-shaped (1700 x 900mm Concept P-Shaped) suits a shower screen on one end, while L-shaped options (Tempo Cube L-Shaped 1700 x 850mm) give you extra shower width without taking a bigger room. For a busy family bathroom a P-shaped or L-shaped keeps showers tidy while still allowing a deep soak when required.

Do I need a side panel or side and end panels for my bath?

If your bath sits in an alcove you need a side panel for the long side; the filters list Side Panel and Side & End Panel options for exactly that reason. For a corner installation you'll require a Side & End Panel set to cover both long and short exposed sides. Freestanding baths, and some straight baths where the ends are exposed, come with no panel option. Many products offer the appropriate panel packaged with the bath, so match the panel type to how the bath will sit in your room.

Acrylic or steel — which material will work best in my bathroom?

Acrylic is the dominant choice here because it's lightweight, warm to the touch and available in many shapes and sizes, ideal if you want 1700mm or 1800mm options without heavy support. Steel is rarer (a few Simplicity steel baths included in our range) but very hard-wearing; the Simplicity steel models specifically include grips and anti-slip, making them a sensible option if durability and safety matter to you. If you're after a budget-friendly, easy-to-install bath with a wide range of designs, acrylic is usually the practical pick; choose steel when robustness and a traditional feel are priorities.

I want a statement bath, are there black or freestanding options in the range?

Yes, there are freestanding baths and a small selection of black finishes. if you want a dramatic focal point. Freestanding models are typically chosen for larger bathrooms and often come in 1700–1800mm lengths to give a generous look and comfortable internal space. A black freestanding bath against a lighter tile or matte brass tapware creates a strong visual contrast and becomes the room’s centrepiece. If space is tight, consider a freestanding lookalike with a compact 1700 x 750mm footprint to keep impact without overwhelming the room.
