Are these Fitzroy of London toilets suitable for wheelchair users and commercial buildings?

Yes. Many of the Fitzroy PRO toilets are comfort height to aid transfer from a wheelchair and most are DOC M compliant, which means they meet accessibility standards used in public and commercial buildings. They are also UKCA and CE compliant and conform to Part M of the Building Regulations, so they’re specified for both residential bathrooms and accessible commercial washrooms. If you need a toilet for assisted living, a care home or an accessible washroom, these models are designed with those uses in mind.

How do I work out which pan shape and projection will fit my bathroom?

Look at the pan shape and total projection: the range includes D‑shape and standard (oval) pans, with total projections around 750 mm and 785 mm. If you have a small room or limited leg space in front of the pan, the 750 mm projection options will sit a little closer to the wall; the 785 mm options project further into the room and may feel more spacious when seated. D‑shape pans tend to sit straighter at the front and can save a few centimetres in narrow spaces, while oval pans give a more traditional look.

What does “comfort height” mean for everyday use and are there any downsides?

Comfort height means the seat sits higher than a standard toilet so standing up and sitting down is easier, which helps people with mobility issues and those transferring from wheelchairs. The higher seat reduces strain on knees and hips, making it a good choice for older adults and clinical settings. The only common downside is that very short users or young children may find the seat feels high, so you might want a step or a child‑friendly seat in a family bathroom.

What seat colours and price points are available, and do lead times vary?

You can choose white, blue (dark blue or grey toilet seats in the PRO range; current prices vary roughly at a lower to mid-range price point to the current product price. the blue seat option is currently included in our range at the current product price, while some white or special‑finish models sit at a lower price point to the current product price and one variant shows a three-week lead time. Stock and pricing can vary by finish, so the coloured seats may also influence availability and cost.

It says the toilets are “suitable for wet areas” — what does that mean for installation and everyday cleaning?

“Suitable for wet areas” means the toilets are designed to cope with environments where the floor or surrounding surfaces may get wet, such as wet rooms or shower rooms without a separate enclosure. Practically, that often means seals, fixings and surfaces are specified to resist moisture and allow safe use in these settings. For everyday cleaning you can use normal bathroom cleaners and you won’t need to avoid placing the pan in a shower zone; you should still follow any site‑specific guidance for waterproofing and floor drainage in a wet room.
