The UK’s Quietest Shower Pumps
Actual comparative tests under laboratory conditions confirm that Stuart Turner manufactures the quietest peripheral (regenerative) shower pump available.
Anti-vibration Hoses as Standard
Supplied complete with 15mm anti-vibration hoses.
EPDM/PTFE/Aluminium Oxide Seals
PTFE and Aluminium Oxide seal materials provide the most reliable sealing solution available, reducing risk of pump leakage and resulting water damage to the home while the use of PTFE (Teflon) also reduces the chances of the seal sticking when a pump is not used for periods of time.
Stuart Turner shower pumps use less power than competitors products, saving money and the environment.
Continuously Rated Motor
Continuously rated shower pumps effectively run until the user turns it off. This is particularly good in a family home where the shower needs to be used frequently throughout the morning or evening. A pump that isn’t continuously rated will turn itself off to allow the pump to cool, potentially causing issues with water pressure to the shower.
Dry Run Protection
Dry run protection is really important for the wellbeing of your shower pump. Bearings and other internal parts may get seriously damaged if there is a blockage or a drop in pressure causing the pump to run dry.
Flow Switch Sensitivity
An automatic flow switch is crucial to have the shower running when it needs to be. When flow exceeds 0.8 litres per minute the pump automatically starts, delivering that powerful flow that it’s there for.
Induction Motor with auto-reset thermal trip
Thermal protection prevents dangerous overheating if the motor shaft locks or the bearings seize. It’s a valuable addition to stop your shower pump from being damaged should the worse happen and a fault occurs.
CE Marked for safety
CE marking means that the product is assessed thoroughly before it is listed for sale on the market whether that be in a shop or online. It means that the product meets certain requirements, like health and safety, to allow it to be sold.
WRAS Approved for quality
If you’re buying any sort of water fitting or product then it’s important that its WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved. It’s the best way to work out if that particular product or part complies with the UK requirements for installation within the UK.

This pump was to replace an old New Team pump that had finally conked out after 30 years excellent service (well done New Team). Unfortunately, the New Team design has changed and this Stuart Turner pump fitted my existing pipework better (sorry New Team). It also looked very well made and since receiving and installing it I haven't changed that view. According to the specification, to get best performance, 22mm pipework should be used. All my pipework is 15mm but the shower still works fine and installation was straightforward. The New Team pump wasn't noisy but this pump is very quiet, it sits in the airing cupboard next to the bathroom and is difficult to hear above the sound of the shower spray. No problems so far and I'm hoping that it will last as long as the New Team pump, I'll let you know in 2048. The Plumbworld price was good, Screwfix were charging over £60 more. On ordering, the first question asked was the delivery date required which is good. I was ordering on a Wednesday and wanted the pump delivered on Saturday, it arrived on Saturday afternoon. Both the Plumbworld and Stuart Turner websites have lots of interesting downloadable product data which made selection easier. So good service from Plumbworld and a good product from Stuart Turner.
I bought this pump as a replacement for my existing showermate shower pump which seemed to have got very temperamental. Upon installing the pump it hadn't resolved the problem. It was actually a blockage in the shower valve inlets that was causing my shower pump not to work. Plumbworld were understanding and allowed me to return the purchased pump and gave me a full refund. As I am selling my house you can imagine how pleased I was not to have this extra expense. The pump itself is easy to install which I did myself with no problem. From this experience I am definitely using plumbworld in future. The prices were competitive and the customer service was exceptional, refund was paid without delay. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
When my shower pump leaked in the airing cupboard, I discovered that it was not covered by the BG homecare insurance! Perhaps I should not have been too surprised. Anyway, rather than electing for the BG replacement pump and fitting charge (in excess of £500!), I searched yhe Plumbworld website and found a suitable replacement (infact better, higher rated pump presure). significant savings on cost pricealthough it wasn't in stock, but expected in a couple of days. Turned out it was 3 days but I was kept informed by e-mail. Pump duly arrived, well packed. Has now been fitted and working well. Great product at a great price, with friendly service! Highly recommended, 5* etc etc. Thanks.
I have fitted quite a few Stuart Turner pumps over the past couple of years for customers and have found them to be reliable and powerful. The instructions are clear and they come with everything you need for a straight replacement in the box. This is not the prettiest of pumps in all fairness and Id have liked isolator valves on all four of the hoses (like on their larger pumps) rather then only the 2 inlet hoses. It isnt over loud but Id suggest not fitting it onto a floor and using a vibration absorbing pad under. The customer is very happy with the resulting power when I replaced her old pump and I would definitely fit these in the future for a single shower.
This pump was a replacement for the equivalent pump installed about 10 years ago. I did not realise how noisy the old one was until the new one went in. If this one does as well i'll be happy. Asked for next day am delivery and it was delivered before 9.30. The price was well below the next best so full marks Plumbworld
What a difference a pump makes! Every morning I dreaded my shower, wondering if it would work properly or even at all. Then like magic, Stuart Turner changed my life, fantastic hot water with a whisper not a gurgle and splutter. Would I recommend you as a company and your products? yes any time.
