DuraTherm White Radiator Cover - Large - Vertical Slat Style 1520mm

This is the second time when I order a radiator cover in this style; I am very pleased with the quality/price and the overall aspect of it. Very sturdy piece of furniture, easy to assemble and a pretty stand for my many plants and decorations. The delivery was free, fast and the order was easy to place.

Very stylish, a sturdy, easily assembled. Gives the room a nice finishing touch which covers an old radiator. Highly recommend, will definitely be ordering more in the future. Very good price too.

You can pay many times more for something equally as good as this. The fitting instructions were good, if not expansive, and all the parts were there. The assembly is made from MDF, so you have to be a little careful in the construction, and I wouldn't recommend it if you have a load of lunatics barging around the house, because the grill will not stand the impact from a dumper truck (or a medium size child (or Great Dane) headbutting it). The assembly is sturdy enough for a normal household, and the white covering is flawless. Get someone to help you assemble it, and put it face down on a carpet to work with (I think the instructions tell you to do it the other way up, but I found it easier this way). Be careful you get the sides correctly placed, although they are all numbered, so keep your wits about you and all will go well. Ideally you need a radiator with the pipes going down into the floor. I had Monty Python plumbing my house, and the pipes go out through the wall on one side. I had to leave that end off, but the cover is still rigid and sturdy. The whole thing took less than an hour to put in place. Delivery was quick and free as well! Love it. So many others quote a price and then dump delivery on top (hate them). Plumbworld were great with this. (Love Plumbworld.) I'll be using them again.

The strength of these is in being in contact with the floor and being back fixed to the wall, when they are really as solid as a rock. It would be easy to damage while assembling, especially when only the front has been put together. Once you add the two ends and the top shelf, it is much stronger, so be sure to work in an area where you can manipulate it safely with two sensible people supporting it as you are moving it around. A dust sheet over a large table, or clean carpet on the floor will protect the lovely finish of the front panels while you put it together. Simple assembly if you've done any Ikea or MFI stuff in the past this is easier. When fitted, it looks better on the wall than it does in the photograph on the website. We love it and will be buying one or two more to cover our downstairs radiators. I'll need to measure up first, fingers crossed the other sizes, medium and small, will work with our radiators here. Very happy, buy with confidence. Oh, and delivery was spot on, an email and text from the carrier gave us a one hour window on the day, and it was right on time. Thanks!

This DuraTherm Adjustable Radiator Cover is great value for money, very attractive and overall quite straightforward to assemble. The enclosed instruction leaflet is very modest and is better for just allowing you to make sure all the parts are present, which they were. The online schematic video of how to assemble it is very useful. My only minor gripe is that there were no pre-drilled pilot holes for the small screws used to attach the left and right grilles to the left and right frames. They are shown quite clearly on the online video, but not present on the product itself. Also, because the screws are not made of particularly hard metal (they are brass in colour) I managed to cross thread 2 of them as I was pushing down on them quite hard before they too, because of this lack of pilot holes! 5 Star Rating still justified (4.99 really!)! Bought this as reviews were very favourable. Other website radiator cover reviews were not so good. Also price was reasonable considering it was free delivery. Regarding assembly I would recommend to build it front face down from start to finish as it is a bit flimsy and best not to move it till top piece of cover is in place. Top piece is better done by 2 people if possible to align and lock in position. Only then with 2 people would I lift cover upright and lift into position. Now I've seen the finished article I will probably buy another and other family members interested as well now. Would definitely recommend. Good product, delivery was excellent with regular updates and came well protected in flat pack.

I had been looking for a long radiator cover for ages and then saw this one advertised on the plumbworld website. It was exactly what I needed to cover the radiator in my lounge, it adjusted to the correct length, the right height, easy to put together and is self finished in mat white, and most of all it was at a price that I couldn’t refuse. It is excellent value and is a very attractive design. I bought two of these to make my old radiators look pretty. It really has enhanced the look of my living room and upstairs hallway. The items arrived very quickly and undamaged. Putting them together was simple but took some time. I found that I couldn't install all the wall brackets due to radiators being high; I did find the screws for the brackets were not retentive enough in the rawl plugs so I substituted them. I would have also preferred the top panel as a single piece instead of split in two; this slightly ruined the aesthetics. Overall; excellent product, excellent service.
