What's Included:
The Stuart Turner Showermate Universal Twin shower pump boosts both hot and cold water pressure within compatible gravity-fed systems. Suitable for positive- and negative-head applications, it provides a flexible solution for improving the flow to a shower, bath, shower mixer or mixer tap.
This pump is designed for open-vented systems with stored water. It is not suitable for unvented or mains-pressure systems. Consult a qualified installer if you are unsure which system you have.
Boosts hot and cold water pressure
The twin-impeller design boosts both supplies together, helping maintain balanced pressure at the connected outlet. This can transform a weak-flowing shower into a stronger and more consistent experience.
Suitable for positive- and negative-head systems
Unlike a standard positive-head pump, the Showermate Universal can operate where there is insufficient natural flow to activate a conventional model. This makes it suitable for more challenging layouts, including installations where the shower outlet is positioned close to or above the stored water level.
Quiet operation
The pump combines a carefully engineered regenerative design with anti-vibration mounting feet and flexible connection hoses. These features help reduce transmitted vibration and operating noise within the home.
Continuously rated motor
Its induction motor is continuously rated at the specified operating flow, allowing the pump to run for extended periods without scheduled cooling breaks. This makes it a practical choice for busy households where the shower may be used several times in succession.
Automatic flow switch and dry-run protection
A sensitive flow switch starts the pump automatically when water flow reaches approximately 0.8 litres per minute. Dry-run protection helps safeguard bearings and other internal components if the water supply becomes restricted or interrupted.
High-performance pump seal
The EPDM, PTFE and aluminium oxide mechanical seal provides a durable barrier against leaks. PTFE also helps reduce the likelihood of the seal sticking when the pump has not been operated for an extended period.
Four anti-vibration hoses included
Four 15mm flexible hoses are supplied for connecting the hot and cold inlet and outlet pipework. Their anti-vibration design helps isolate movement from the pump, reducing noise and strain on the connections.
WRAS approved, UKCA and CE marked
WRAS approval confirms that the pump meets relevant UK water-fitting requirements. UKCA and CE markings indicate conformity with applicable product requirements.
