Single-impeller boosting

A single-impeller pump increases the pressure of one water supply. Depending on the plumbing arrangement, it can boost:

• One hot-water supply
• One cold-water supply
• Pre-mixed water downstream from a shower mixer

It does not independently boost both hot and cold supplies in the way a twin-impeller pump does.

Positive-head operation

This pump relies on gravity to create enough natural flow to activate its motor. The installation requires at least one metre of positive head between the pump and the bottom of the cold-water storage cistern, subject to the manufacturer’s full installation requirements.

It is not intended for negative-head systems. A plumber should confirm the available head, flow and system compatibility before purchase.
