Boost Hot and Cold Water Pressure

The Salamander CT60B is designed to increase the pressure of stored hot and cold water supplies. Its twin impellers boost both feeds, helping deliver a balanced flow to compatible bathroom outlets such as a thermostatic mixer shower, wash basin, bath, or toilet.

With a closed-head pressure of 1.8 bar, it provides a useful improvement where gravity-fed showers and other outlets are receiving an underwhelming flow.

Positive-Head Systems Only

This is a positive-head pump for use with gravity-fed systems that already provide enough natural flow to activate it. Typically, the cold-water storage tank must sit above the shower or outlet so gravity can move water through the system and start the pump.

The CT60B is not suitable for negative-head systems. Installing it where there is insufficient natural flow may prevent the pump from activating correctly. Ask a qualified plumber to confirm system compatibility before ordering.

Twin Impeller Regenerative Design

Twin impeller shower pumps boost the hot and cold supplies separately before delivering them at a more balanced pressure. This can improve temperature control when using a mixer shower or tap.

The regenerative design uses specially shaped impellers to help move air through the system. This makes the pump useful where pipework contains multiple bends and elbows that may otherwise contribute to trapped air.

Reduced Operating Noise

Noise and vibration-reducing feet work with dampening materials inside the pump to limit the transfer of motor vibration. The CT60B is also Quiet Mark approved, making it a practical choice where the pump will be installed near bedrooms or regularly used early in the morning or late at night.

Its compact dimensions allow it to fit into suitable confined locations, such as an airing cupboard, while still leaving the required access and ventilation specified in the installation instructions.

Solid-State Switching and Continuous Rating

Solid-state switching activates the pump electronically without relying on a mechanical switch with moving components. This supports sensitive activation and dependable long-term operation.

The motor is continuously rated, allowing it to keep running while the outlet is in use rather than stopping at set intervals to cool. The pump has a maximum current rating of 2.10A.

Brass Ends and Flexible Couplers

Heavy-duty brass ends provide strong and durable pipe connections. Four straight push-fit flexible couplers with isolating valves are included to connect the incoming and outgoing hot and cold supplies.

Their flexible construction helps limit vibration transfer into the surrounding pipework, reducing noise and helping protect the pump and plumbing connections.
