This premium Salamander pump boosts both the hot and cold water supplies, helping to improve weak flow to compatible showers, baths, basins, toilets, and other bathroom outlets.
It’s a practical option when comparing twin impeller shower pumps (hot & cold) for a bathroom with low water pressure.
Positive Head Operation
Positive head shower pumps (twin impeller) are designed for gravity-fed systems with enough natural flow to activate the pump. The cold-water storage tank must be positioned above the outlet to allow water to flow through the pump when it’s turned on.
The RP50PT isn’t suitable for negative head systems and may not operate if installed in one. Please consult a qualified plumber or installer to confirm compatibility.
Quiet And Reliable Performance
Quiet Mark approval, vibration-reducing feet, and sound-dampening materials help keep operating noise to a minimum. Solid-state switching activates the pump electronically without relying on moving components, helping to improve sensitivity and reliability.

Is this a suitable replacement for the salamander right RSP45?
The manufacture have confirmed the RP50PT is a suitable replacement. However, the key difference would be the the RP50PT is 1.5 bar pressure rather than the 1.3 bar for the RSP45.
I purchased this pump to replace e Stuart Turner 1.5bar pump that was very noisy. The Salamander pump is much quieter and feels very well made. Fitting instructions were clear and all required hoses etc were provided in the box.

New pump required to replace a previous model RSP50 now discontinued and no longer supported with a service kit. The existing plumbing feeds fitted neatly and no alteration needed. Turned it on and it worked normally immediately. Hope it lasts longer than the other one which failed after 7 years.

This was bought from Plumbworld to replace a 10 year old Salamander shower pump. Plumbworld’s technical guy was extremely helpful - knew his stuff and advised me which model was best for our needs/installation.
I plumbed it in, made some improvements to the original bathroom fitters installation- using foam pads, including the ones supplied with the pump, and the result was a MUCH quieter shower pump, both from the motor noise AND the vibration noise.
The kit includes replacement flexipipes.
We’ll certainly be using Plumbworld again.
