The Xpelair Simply Silent Extractor Fan removes excess moisture and unwanted odours from bathrooms, cloakrooms and similar spaces. Its two-speed axial motor provides a choice of extraction rates while keeping power consumption and operating noise low.

The fan can be connected to the bathroom light switch, allowing ventilation to run whenever the light is on. Unlike a timer model, it stops when switched off unless the electrical installation provides another control arrangement.

Two Extraction Speeds

The fan provides two selectable performance levels:

54m³/h at 22dB(A)

76m³/h at 34dB(A)

The lower setting prioritises quiet operation, while the higher speed provides stronger extraction when more steam or humidity needs to be cleared.

Quiet Operation

At its lowest setting, the fan produces just 22dB(A) measured at three metres. This makes it suitable for en-suites and bathrooms where reduced background noise is important.

Energy-Efficient Performance

Power consumption is 6.7W on the lower speed and 7.7W on the higher speed. The corresponding specific fan-power figures are 0.45 and 0.37W/l/s.

Switch Operated

The fan can be wired to operate with the bathroom light switch. Switching on the light starts extraction, and switching it off stops the fan.

For ventilation that continues after leaving the room—or starts automatically when humidity rises—consider a timer or humidistat model instead.

Recessed Installation

The fan can be fitted into a compatible wall, window or ceiling. Its recessed design keeps most of the unit concealed and leaves a neat, low-profile finish visible in the room.

Axial Fan Design

Axial blades move air parallel to the fan’s shaft, creating efficient airflow through straightforward installations. Axial fans are best suited to short duct runs with limited resistance; longer or more complex ducting may require a mixed-flow or centrifugal model.
