Universal Head Operation

The Salamander CT Force 30 SU is suitable for both positive and negative head gravity-fed systems. Positive head shower pumps rely on an existing natural flow to activate, whereas a negative head installation may have little or no natural flow because the outlet is positioned level with or above the cold water storage tank.

As a universal model, this pump can pressurise the supply and activate when an outlet is opened in either type of installation.

Single Impeller Performance

Single impeller shower pumps are designed to boost one water supply rather than hot and cold supplies separately. Depending on the installation, this can be a stored hot supply, a stored cold supply, or pre-mixed water leaving a shower valve.

With up to 3.0 bar of pressure, the CT Force 30 SU is intended for installations requiring a substantial improvement in flow, including showers with larger heads or multiple spray functions.

The requirements of every connected appliance must be checked before installation. The pump must not be connected directly to an unsuitable mains water supply.

Durable Brass Ends

Heavy-duty brass ends provide robust connection points for the pipework and are designed to withstand regular use. This makes the pump suitable for installation in locations such as an airing cupboard or beneath a bath, provided the manufacturer’s access and clearance requirements are followed.

Reduced Noise and Vibration

Noise-reducing feet work with vibration-dampening internal materials to limit the transfer of motor movement into the surrounding floor and pipework. Quiet Mark approval provides added reassurance that operating noise has been considered in the pump’s design.

No shower pump is completely silent, but correct positioning and the supplied flexible connections can help keep noise and vibration to a minimum.

Solid-State Switching

Electronically controlled solid-state switching activates the pump without relying on moving mechanical switch components. This provides sensitive operation and is designed to support long-term reliability.

Continuously Rated Motor

A continuously rated motor allows the pump to operate for extended periods without routinely switching itself off to cool. This is useful in busy homes where showers or other boosted outlets may be used frequently.

Flexible Connections Included

Two straight push-fit flexible couplers are supplied for connecting the pump to 15mm or 22mm pipework. They include brass nuts and isolation valves, allowing the pump to be isolated more conveniently for future maintenance.

Their flexible design also limits the vibration transferred from the motor into rigid pipework, helping reduce noise and protect the installation.
