I have a mixer with body jets and a bath filler — how many outlets do I need on an exposed valve?

If you want two shower heads, body jets and a bath filler you'll need a 4‑outlet valve; the filters on this range list 4‑outlet as suitable for exactly that configuration. For a shower head and a bath filler a 2‑outlet valve is enough, and 1‑outlet is for a single shower head. a 4‑outlet valve gives separate feeds so you can run an overhead shower, a handset, body jets and still fill the bath without compromising flow.

Should I buy a thermostatic or a manual exposed valve for family use?

Thermostatic valves are the safer choice for family bathrooms, they hold water temperature steady and prevent sudden scalds, and 33 of the valves shown are thermostatic compared with nine manual options.
