Bathroom Mirrors are the only bathroom accessories that can tell you who’s the fairest of them all! A good quality mirror is arguably one of the most essential items in the smallest room. Whether you opt for a large focal type to reflect light, a mirrored cabinet to add some helpful extra storage, or a small vanity mirror to keep you looking your best – it’s still an absolute necessity. As the focus shifts towards bathroom designs that are both stylish and functional, a mirror is usually at the top of most people’s lists. Our range of mirrors is second-to-none, featuring standard rectangular, circular, and hexagonal mirrors, right through to fantastically smart Bluetooth and toothbrush-charging, LED mirrors. What mirror size should I buy to sit above my basin?

Aim for a mirror roughly the same width as your basin or vanity unit, so single basins often suit 500–700mm wide mirrors and heights around 600–700mm for comfortable reflection. If you have a double basin, look at wider options from 900mm up to 1200mm; there are mirror cabinets and backlit mirrors at those widths. Orientation matters too: portrait mirrors work well above narrow vanities, while landscape mirrors suit wider units and give a more expansive feel. A 500 x 700mm backlit mirror provides good head-to-toe coverage above a standard 500mm basin.

Do I need an illuminated mirror and a demister pad?

Illuminated mirrors give consistent, shadow-free light that is useful for shaving and make-up, while a demister pad stops steam from clouding the glass after a hot shower. Many illuminated mirrors also include touch sensors, which make operation simple and tidy. If your bathroom steams up regularly, a demister is a low-effort way to keep your mirror usable straight away.

Should I choose a mirror cabinet or a standard mirror?

A mirror cabinet doubles as storage, hiding toiletries and often offering adjustable shelving, whereas standard mirrors are slimmer and create more visual space. Cabinet depths vary, with options suited to shallow cloakrooms or fuller storage needs, and corner cabinets are available if space is tight. If you need stash space for razors and medicines, a 600 x 700mm mirror cabinet gives a practical middle ground between storage and a tidy profile.

Which finish will work best with my bathroom fittings?

Match or deliberately contrast the mirror frame to your tap and accessory finishes; common mirror finishes include matt black, chrome, brushed brass, brushed nickel and stainless steel. Brushed brass harmonises with warm brass taps and tiles, while chrome or stainless steel complements contemporary chromeware; matt black adds a bold, modern accent. An oval brushed brass mirror looks cohesive with brass taps, whereas a matt black round mirror can create a striking contrast against white ceramics.

Are shaving sockets, Bluetooth or toothbrush charging worth having?

These extras can be very handy: shaving sockets provide a built-in power point for razors and toothbrushes, while Bluetooth and built-in speakers let you listen to music or podcasts while you get ready. Note that most mirrors with sockets or Bluetooth are mains-powered, so they give continuous power and more features than battery models. If you value convenience and a streamlined look, a mains-powered mirror cabinet with a shaver socket and speaker is a practical upgrade.
