Quiet Operation

Submersible pumps operate with very little noise due to being submerged. The water absorbs most of the sound that the pump produces and the completely sealed unit takes care of the rest resulting in an extremely quite pump.

Will Never Overheat

The fantastic thing about submersible pumps is that you don’t have to worry about them overheating. This is because the pump is submerged in water which keeps the pump cool preventing the motor from overheating.

Convenient and Portable

Submersible pumps generally have a small, lightweight build with most having a convenient built in carry handle to allow for easy transportation between projects.

Resistant to Corrosion

Submersible pumps are constructed from materials which are highly corrosion-resistant (such as stainless steel) and go through a vigorous sealing process for protection. The pumps are hermetically sealed to prevent the inside from being exposed to oxidation or any corrosive materials, preventing any damage to your pump.

Electric powered

Submersible pumps are powered by electric, so all you need to power your pump is an electric outlet. Most pumps come with a long power cord (some as long as 16 metres!) to ensure you always have access to power especially for deeper submerging.

Covers Large Distances

Compared to the suction method, submersible pumps use direct pressure through their hose/pipe to drain the water. This method is much more effective as it covers a larger distance and uses a lot less energy.

Drain Unwanted Water:

If you live in an area that is prone to flooding, then a submersible pump is an excellent way of draining away any water that shouldn’t be there. A popular residential area that a submersible pump is used in is a cellar, whilst builders use submersible pumps to drain foundations so  that they are clear and ready for building on!

  • Submersible pump ideal for transfer of non-foul rain or wastewater
  • Automatic float switch for ease of use
  • Three sizes to meet differing flow rate and head height demands
  • Capable of handling both clean and grey cold water
  • Compact design and ease of installation
  • 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee with every purchase

The Stuart Turner Submersible Supersub Pump range is the ideal solution for the transfer of non-foul clean or grey cold water. With three different models available, there’s a pump to meet your unique circumstances, whether that be removing water from a flooded cellar, dredging a pond or any other drainage needs you may have. All units are fully submersible and can pump solids of up to 5mm in diameter, as well as being compact in design and incredibly easy to install. Simply identify the pump that’s right for you and away you go!

Both the Supersub 150VA and the Supersub 250VA have been engineered to handle dirty, rain or wastewater and are particularly useful in an enclosed space, such as a cellar or basement. With both manual and automatic capabilities, they can be set to work and left to their own devices. As the names suggest, the former can handle flow rates of up to 150 litres per minute and achieve a maximum head height of 6.5m, while the latter is capable of dealing with flow rates of up to 250 litres per minute and reaching a head height of 8.5m.

The Supersub 230VA, on the other hand, is more suited to external applications such as draining a pond or the suchlike. While it does not have the same automatic capabilities of the other two models, it does boast an external float switch and stepped hose connector for optimal ease of use, while it’s capable of handling up to 230 litres per minute in water flow and reaching head heights of up to 8.3m. As such, it represents an attractive alternative in situations where automatic capabilities are not a priority.

All three pumps are powered by induction motors with auto-reset thermal trip safety features and run off a 230V / 50Hz power source. While the sizes and weights of the models differ slightly, all three have been designed to be compact and engineered to last, with a one-year manufacturer’s guarantee on every purchase to augment the reliability and trustworthiness inherent in every Stuart Turner product. Simply put, there’s a Submersible Supersub pump to meet your needs – whatever they may be.
