Which shower tray profile should you pick, low profile, raised or deep, for your bathroom?

Choose a low profile tray (available in 25, 40 and 45 mm heights) when you want a near-level entry and a modern look; they're the most common option here. Pick a raised tray (around 90–140 mm) if you need extra room beneath the tray for waste pipes or you can't alter the floor. A deep or "deep profile" tray gives a stronger fall and a more solid feel, useful if you want better drainage without raising the tray height much; Mira Flight Deep is a good choice. If you need completely level access, look at the Flight Level or wet-room profile options.

How do the materials compare, stone resin, acrylic-capped ABS and Ducostone, and which is best for you?

Stone resin is heavy, feels solid underfoot and retains heat well, making it feel more luxurious; prices in that range sit around the the current product price marks. Acrylic-capped ABS trays (common across Hydrolux and Podium) are lighter, more budget friendly and still durable, ideal if you'll need to move or lift the tray during installation. Ducostone is a harder-wearing composite often used where extra durability is wanted. If you want a premium finish and weighty feel, go stone resin; if cost and ease of handling matter more, acrylic-capped ABS is sensible.

Should you choose a rectangular tray or an offset quadrant, and how do LH/RH entries affect installation?

Rectangular trays suit straight runs or when the shower sits along a wall, while offset quadrant trays are designed for corner installations and free up more floor space in smaller bathrooms. LH or RH entry indicates which side the curved entrance sits on, so match that to the wall or door swing in your room, choose a RH entry offset quadrant if the enclosure door opens to the right. Many offset quadrant models are available in low or raised profiles, so you can match height as well as shape.

How do you decide between a centre waste and a corner waste, and will the tray come with the waste?

Centre waste is the most common here and works well when you can run pipework centrally under the tray; corner waste suits existing soil pipes near a corner and shortens the waste run. Most products in our range explicitly note "with waste," so the tray and its waste fitting are included, check the specific product details for the waste type. If your current plumbing sits to one side, a corner-waste tray will usually be quicker and cheaper to connect.

Are non-slip trays worth the extra, and which products offer them?

Non-slip is worth it if anyone in your household is elderly, children use the shower, or you simply want extra peace of mind; many included in our range have non-slip finishes.
