What’s Included:
- Salamander CT80BU universal twin pump
- Four 15mm-to-22mm straight push-fit connection couplers
- Integrated isolating valves
The CT80BU is designed for gravity-fed hot-water systems where the available pressure is too low for the bathroom outlets being supplied. Its twin-ended configuration boosts the hot and cold feeds simultaneously, providing a more balanced supply to compatible mixer showers, taps and other bathroom fittings.
Positive- and negative-head operation
As a universal pump, the CT80BU works with both positive- and negative-head installations. This makes it suitable where gravity already produces some natural flow as well as systems where the outlet is level with or above the stored cold-water tank.
Twin hot and cold boosting
Separate impellers increase the pressure of both supplies, helping thermostatic and manual mixers receive a balanced flow. The pump can support compatible bathroom outlets including:
Noise- and vibration-reducing design
Specially designed feet work with the motor’s natural movement to reduce transmitted vibration. Sound-dampening materials within the pump and flexible connections further limit noise passing into the surrounding pipework.
Quiet Mark approved
Quiet Mark certification recognises products with comparatively low operating noise. Although the pump will not be completely silent, its design helps keep sound and vibration to a minimum when correctly installed.
Solid-state switching
The electronic activation system contains no moving switch components. This improves sensitivity and removes mechanical switching parts that could otherwise wear over time.
Compact construction
A small footprint makes the pump easier to position in restricted installation spaces. Adequate access, ventilation and the manufacturer’s required clearances must still be provided.
Crossover protection
An internal bypass redirects water when only one side of the pump is operating. This helps prevent heat building up in the side without active water flow when one supply is closed.
Continuously rated motor
The motor is designed to operate continuously while water is being drawn, making the pump suitable for busy households where outlets may be used frequently or for extended periods.
Connection couplers included
Four 15mm-to-22mm straight push-fit couplers with isolating valves are supplied. The flexible connections help limit vibration travelling between the pump and rigid pipework, while the valves simplify isolation for maintenance.
WRAS approved
The pump carries WRAS approval, confirming that it complies with applicable UK water-fitting requirements when installed correctly.
Installation requirements
The CT80BU is intended for compatible positive- or negative-head gravity-fed systems. It is not a general-purpose solution for every plumbing arrangement, so system compatibility must be confirmed before purchase. Installation should be completed by a suitably qualified plumber in accordance with Salamander’s instructions.
3-year warranty
The Salamander CT80BU comes with a 3-year warranty against manufacturing faults. Terms and conditions apply.
