Obviously to keep with the overall look of your bathroom it’s wise to match styles with your current bathroom theme. Double Skinned Quality

Also known as a twin skin, this refers to the inner and outer lining (skin) on the bath itself. Double skinned baths are renowned for exceptional build quality as both skins are reinforced; this provides a hard wearing lining which also helps keep in heat. Inferior baths only have a single skin which will not retain heat as long; this means that you and your bath water will become colder much quicker and you’ll end up refilling on the hot water. What is the difference between double-ended, single-ended and slipper baths, and which is best for me?

A double-ended bath has two sloped ends and is often used for shared bathing or a symmetrical centrepiece; there are many double-ended options in this range. Single-ended baths have the tap and sloped end at one side, which can save space and suit an end-against-wall layout. Slipper baths have a raised back on one end to support you when lounging, ideal if you want a deeper, more relaxed soak, the Sanctura Moment slipper bath is 1600 x 720 mm and feels more like a bath for lounging. Which bath material will keep water warm and feel most luxurious?

Copper and mineral resin baths offer the best natural heat retention and a tactile, luxury feel; there are a few copper options and several mineral resin pieces in the collection. Solid surface materials such as Cian also retain heat well and give a smooth, seamless finish, though they are heavier and more premium. Acrylic is by far the most common material here, and it's lightweight, warm to touch and more affordable, found in over a hundred models. If heat retention and a designer finish matter most, aim for solid surface, mineral resin or copper; if budget and ease of handling matter more, an acrylic bath is a sensible choice.

How do I match a freestanding bath to a modern or traditional bathroom style?

Choose one if you want the aesthetic of a standalone bath but need to keep it close to a wall for layout reasons or want a wall-mounted tap. It's a good compromise when you love the style of freestanding baths but have limited room or prefer simpler plumbing routing.
