What’s Included:
Required Separately:
Additional insulation, controls, levelling compound and installation materials may be required according to the project design.
The Warmup DCM-PRO Heating Cable provides flexible electric underfloor heating for bathrooms and irregularly shaped rooms. Installed into a compatible DCM-PRO Mat, the loose cable can be routed around permanent fixtures and spaced according to the required heated area.
Flexible cable layout
Unlike a heating element supplied on a fixed mesh roll, the DCM-PRO Cable can be positioned around permanent objects and non-heated areas. This makes it suitable for rooms with corners, alcoves and other complex floor layouts.
The heating cable must not be installed beneath fixtures or furniture where heat could become trapped unless specifically permitted by the system design.
Tool-free mat installation
The cable presses into the castellations of the DCM-PRO Mat without requiring specialist tools. The castellated layout provides a clear guide for planning coverage and maintaining consistent cable spacing.
The cable must be installed with the matching DCM-PRO Mat, which is not supplied with the cable.
Adjustable coverage and output
Cable spacing can be altered within the permitted design limits to increase or decrease the heated coverage. At three-castellation spacing, equivalent to approximately 90mm, the system provides a stated output of 150W/m².
Cable spacing and output must follow Warmup’s design and installation instructions. The heating cable must never be cut or shortened.
Compatible floor finishes
The installed system can be covered with a suitable self-levelling compound, allowing it to work beneath floor finishes certified for use with underfloor heating, including:
- Tile, stone and polished screed
- Engineered wood and compatible timber
- Laminate
- Vinyl
- Carpet and rugs
- Rubber flooring
The floor-finish manufacturer’s maximum temperature and thermal-resistance limits must be observed. This is particularly important with timber, vinyl, carpet, rugs and rubber.
Durable cable construction
The blue heating cable measures approximately 4.5mm thick, with a manufacturing tolerance of ±0.2mm. Its advanced fluoropolymer ETFE inner insulation provides durable electrical and thermal protection.
A 3m coldtail is supplied for connecting the heating element to the electrical installation.
Efficient room heating
Underfloor heating distributes warmth across the available floor area, helping create a consistent room temperature. When combined with suitable insulation and controls, it can operate efficiently without requiring high radiator surface temperatures.
Actual energy consumption will depend on insulation, room heat loss, floor finish, thermostat settings and usage patterns.
Electrical specifications
The cable operates from a 220–240V, 50Hz supply and carries an IPX7 rating. It is BEAB approved and CE marked according to the supplied product information.
The stated minimum installation temperature is 5°C.
Professional electrical installation
The cable can be laid as part of the floor installation, but all electrical testing and final connections must be completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
Resistance and insulation readings should be recorded before, during and after installation. The circuit must include the protective devices required by the manufacturer and current wiring regulations.
SafetyNet™ Installation Guarantee
If the heating cable is accidentally damaged during installation, Warmup’s SafetyNet™ Installation Guarantee provides replacement with another heater of the same make and model, subject to its registration requirements and conditions.
Lifetime warranty
The DCM-PRO Cable is covered by a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty against qualifying defects, subject to correct installation, registration and the applicable exclusions.
Sustainability recognition
Warmup received an EcoVadis Bronze Medal in 2023 for its sustainability performance. This recognition applies to the company’s assessed practices rather than the individual cable’s energy consumption.
