You simply need a standard wall elbow or arm to attach the head, and many products come with a matching arm (the Architeckt 200mm heads with square arm). If you have an unusual valve layout or an exposed pipe run, check the arm length and connection type, but for a typical mixer shower you should have no worries about compatibility.

How do I choose the right head size for my bathroom?

Use the head diameter as your guide: small enclosures suit 100–200mm heads (200mm is common), mid‑sized showers work well with 201–300mm, and spacious wet rooms benefit from 300–450mm drencher heads like the Grohe Rainshower Duo 360 450mm. A 200–260mm overhead gives a generous rain feel without overwhelming a standard cubicle, while a 360–450mm head creates a full wet‑room drench. Think about ceiling height and how far you want water to fall from the arm when you pick the size.

Which finish should I choose so the shower head matches my taps and décor?

Match the finish to your existing brassware: chrome is the most versatile and is available across many models, matt black gives a modern, contrasting look, brushed brass adds a traditional or luxury feel, and brushed nickel offers a softer metallic tone. the Merano 200mm is offered in black and brushed brass, so you can mirror your taps or the shower valve for a cohesive look.
