Thermostatic Bath Shower Mixers

Thermostatic mixers use a temperature-regulating cartridge so the water you set stays constant, preventing sudden hot or cold spikes. You control temperature with a simple dial or knob, and the mechanism adjusts flow from hot and cold supplies to hold that setting. That makes them especially reassuring if you have children or older family members who need a steady, safe temperature.

Many of the mixers here are labelled for different systems, three models are suitable for all systems and five are rated for high pressure (1 bar+). Check the product specification before you buy: if you have a combi boiler or unvented system, a high-pressure model will be fine; if you have a gravity-fed loft tank, pick one marked suitable for all systems. Wall-mounted mixers fix to the wall above the bath and free up the bath rim, giving a cleaner, contemporary look, while deck-mounted mixers sit on the bath rim and are often simpler to retrofit into an existing bath. If you're replacing an existing deck mixer, a deck model usually avoids pipework alterations; choose wall-mounted if you want a minimalist profile.

Round knob controls give a smooth, precise temperature adjustment with a twisting action, which works well with thermostatic cartridges, while twin levers separate flow and temperature control for quick, intuitive changes. If you want fine temperature accuracy for daily showers, a round knob is handy; if you prefer rapid on/off and simple visual control, twin levers are more straightforward.
