Starline wall panels provide an alternative to conventional wall tiling without the lengthy process of fitting and grouting numerous individual tiles. The Retro Metallic finish gives the room a decorative feature while the large panel format creates a cleaner, less interrupted surface.
When planning the walls & floors in your bathroom, the panel can be coordinated with a range of flooring styles, sanitaryware finishes, and bathroom furniture.
Tongue and Groove Installation
The panels use a tongue and groove connection along straight walls, allowing adjoining pieces to slot together without a visible joining profile between each one. This helps several wall panels look more like one continuous surface.
Profiles are still required where the installation transitions from one wall to another, including internal and external corners. Suitable trims and sealant should be used to create a properly finished, watertight installation.
Waterproof PVC Construction
Made from durable PVC, the panel is waterproof and suitable for bathrooms, showering areas, kitchens, and wet rooms. Unlike materials that can swell or deteriorate when exposed to moisture, the PVC construction is designed for regular use in humid environments.
At 10mm thick, the panel provides a robust covering while remaining manageable during installation.
No Grout Lines to Scrub
Because the panels don’t require traditional tile grout, there are fewer joins where dirt, soap residue, and discolouration can collect. The broad, flat surface is easier to wipe down, making these bathroom wall panels a practical choice for busy homes.
You’ll still need to clean the panel and sealed joins regularly, but there’s no network of grout lines demanding separate attention.
Straightforward Installation
The panels can be installed on dry, clean, and flat walls, and may also be fitted over suitable existing tiles. This can reduce the preparation required when updating a bathroom, although the condition of the existing surface should be checked before work begins.
If you’re installing the panels with adhesive, use a suitable PVC panel adhesive and follow the installation instructions for sealing all joins and edges.
