How do I choose the right mirror size for my basin or wall space?

Measure the width of your vanity or basin and aim for a mirror that is 50–100 mm narrower than the cabinet below so the mirror sits comfortably above it; common widths on the range include 500–599 mm and 600–699 mm, while most heights fall between 600–899 mm. If you want a taller focal point, look at slim tall options such as the 300 x 900 mm models in our range, or for a wider look choose 1000–1200 mm wide backlit mirrors. a 500 x 700 mm mirror often works well above a standard 600 mm basin, while a 1200 x 600 mm suit a double basin. Don't forget orientation: portrait options are ideal above single basins, landscape for double basins or wider vanities.

Should I get an illuminated (LED) mirror or a non-illuminated one?

If you rely on the mirror for precision tasks like shaving or make-up, an illuminated mirror is very helpful; many backlit LED and aluminium LED cabinets that include touch or motion sensors and provide even light. Non-illuminated mirrors are cheaper and simple, but you may need stronger overhead lighting to avoid shadows. Do I need a demister pad or a shaver socket built into the mirror?
