What are the practical differences between low-profile and raised 1100 x 800 shower trays, and which should you pick?

If you have limited floor void or want the easiest step-access, go low profile; if you need to conceal standard pipework without re-routing, a raised 140mm tray is the safer option.

Which material is best for an 1100 x 800 tray, acrylic capped ABS, stone resin or marble resin?
