Our range or shower bath screens are designed to work with L shape, P shape, and B shape shower baths, giving you freedom to turn your bath into a fully fledged shower. Bath shower screens are perfect for adding a modern touch to your bathroom, allowing you to shake the shackles of irritating shower curtains. What is the difference between L‑shaped, P‑shaped and square shower bath screens, and which suits your bathroom best?

L‑shaped screens have a return panel that creates a compact shower area at one end of the bath, so they work well if you want a neat, space-saving solution for a square bath. P‑shaped screens extend further out into the room and form a larger enclosure, ideal if you need extra standing space for showering or have a roomy bathroom, several Ceramica P‑shaped options are available in 700–720mm widths. Square screens are flat panels that suit baths with straight edges and give a simple, modern look, like the Ceramica and Luxura square models shown. If you’re short on floor space go L, if you want a shower that feels more like an enclosure go P.

How do I choose the right width and glass thickness for my bath screen?

Check the width range first, most screens here sit in the 700–799mm bracket with a couple in 800–899mm; measure the length of the bath edge where the screen will sit and match it to those sizes. For glass thickness, 6mm is the most common and sturdier choice, while 5mm is available for simpler fixed panels and lighter budgets. If you have a hinged screen that will be opened often, a 6mm panel is a better long‑term choice for rigidity and durability.

Should you buy a hinged screen or a fixed screen for your bath?

Hinged screens give you an opening panel for easier access and cleaning and are comfortable if you want to reach into the bath; they work well where there’s room for the panel to swing. Fixed screens are simpler, often with a return panel to contain spray, and suit very tight spaces or minimalist designs, Luxura offers fixed return variants for a neat look. If you want flexibility and frequent access choose hinged, but pick fixed if you prefer a permanent minimalist barrier.

Which frame colour and glass finish will make your bathroom feel larger and easier to maintain?

Clear glass keeps the sightlines open and makes a small bathroom feel bigger, seven clear options are included in our range here, while a grid or patterned glass hides water marks and adds character. Chrome frames are the most common and give a classic, reflective finish that blends with existing taps, whereas black frames create a strong contemporary contrast, as seen on the Luxura black 785–795mm options. If you have a compact, pale bathroom go for clear glass with chrome; pick black or the grid glass for a statement or to mask splashes.

Can you use a bath shower screen on curved baths as well as square baths?

Yes, the range includes screens for both curved and square baths, with curved‑style screens specifically shaped to follow the arc of a curved shower bath (there are Ceramica curved screens at around 860–870mm). Square bath screens are flat panels that sit on straight‑edged baths, such as the 780–785mm square models. Match the screen shape to your bath contour for a proper fit and better water containment.
