• Rada Thermotap-3 Thermostatic Mixing Tap

The Rada Thermotap-3 combines a thermostatic mixing valve with a practical basin tap. It automatically balances the hot and cold water supplies to provide a more consistent outlet temperature, helping reduce the risk of unexpectedly hot water.

Its compact design and short 100mm lever make it particularly useful for smaller basins, while the chrome finish creates a smart, easy-to-clean appearance.

Consistent water temperature

The built-in thermostatic cartridge responds to changes in the hot and cold supplies to keep the blended water temperature stable. The optimum control range is 35–45°C, with the maximum outlet temperature factory-set to 41°C before dispatch.

Rapid safety shut-off

If either the hot or cold water supply fails, the thermostatic sensor reduces the flow to a seepage level within 2 seconds, provided there is at least a 10°C difference between the blended water and the remaining supply. This helps reduce the risk of scalding or exposure to unexpectedly cold water.

Simple sequential control

A single short lever controls the tap from off through cold and warm to the preset maximum temperature. This straightforward operating sequence makes the tap easy to use without separate hot and cold controls.

Single-tap-hole installation

The Thermotap-3 fits tap holes measuring 26–36mm and basins or sinks with a surface thickness of up to 30mm. It includes 15mm inlet connections and 10mm stainless-steel flexible supply tails for installation.

Durable chrome-plated construction

The tap body is manufactured from chrome-plated dezincification-resistant brass for strength and corrosion resistance. Its smooth finish is easy to wipe clean, while the lever is made from chrome-plated cast zinc.

Controlled water flow

With the supplied flow regulators fitted, the outlet is limited to approximately 4–6 litres per minute. This provides a practical flow for handwashing while helping control water use. Rada recommends nominally balanced hot and cold supply pressures for optimum performance.

For dynamic pressures below 0.4 bar, the manufacturer recommends removing the flow regulators to improve the available flow. Installation and commissioning should be completed in accordance with the product instructions.
