What's the difference between acrylic and acrylic-capped ABS trays, and which should I pick?

Acrylic trays are a solid acrylic surface that feels smooth and is straightforward to maintain, while acrylic-capped ABS trays have a rigid ABS base with an acrylic top for added strength and stability. The capped ABS option tends to be very durable and resistant to flex, making it good where extra support is needed; a full-acrylic tray offers a slightly warmer feel underfoot. Is the supplied high-flow waste adequate for powerful showerheads or pumps?

Each Podium tray includes a high-flow shower waste designed to clear water quickly and minimise pooling, so it will cope with most modern mixer showers. For very high-pressure pumped systems, check the pump's flow rate against the waste specification, but for typical domestic showers the included high-flow waste is usually sufficient. The benefit is faster drainage and less chance of standing water after use.

Will a quadrant tray work with a sliding or curved shower enclosure, and how much space does it give you?

Quadrant trays are made specifically for corner enclosures and pair naturally with sliding or curved doors because of their curved front edge. Sizes like 800 x 800, 900 x 900 and 1000 x 1000mm provide varying showering areas, a 900 x 900 tray, gives comfortable internal space while saving room in the rest of the bathroom. Because the trays are corner-mounted, you get more usable showering area without taking up extra central floor space.
