How do I pick the right size freestanding bath for my bathroom?

Look at the typical lengths and widths on offer and match them to the space you have; most traditional freestanding baths here are between 1400–1700mm long and 600–800mm wide, with many popular models at 1500 x 750mm or 1550 x 750mm. If you have a smaller ensuite, a 1500 x 750mm or the 1620 x 690mm Richmond gives a comfortable single-bather fit without dominating the room. For a larger family bathroom where you want to stretch out, consider the 1700 x 725mm boat-style baths. Measure the room, allow walking space around the bath, and choose a length that aligns with the bathing experience you want.

What's the difference between double-ended, single-ended and slipper freestanding baths, and which suits me?

Double-ended baths (27 in our range) have symmetrical sloping ends so two people can face either way or you can place taps centrally; they suit shared or formal layouts. Single-ended baths have one sloped end for reclining and place taps at the opposite end, good if you want a tapwall or to save space. Slipper baths raise one end for extra back support, ideal if you enjoy long, upright soaks; a slipper shape creates a relaxed, loungelike posture compared with the flatter profile of a standard roll-top.

Which material should I choose, acrylic, copper, mineral resin or solid surface?

Acrylic is lightweight, affordable and retains warmth well, so it's a practical choice for everyday bathing; Park Lane roll-top acrylics are a typical example. Copper and copper & nickel models give dramatic visual warmth and age to a beautiful patina, but they are a statement choice with a higher price tag. Mineral resin and the Cian solid surface options offer a dense, tactile matte finish and a contemporary, monolithic look if you want a spa-like aesthetic.

Can I have a shower over a freestanding roll-top bath?

Most traditional freestanding roll-top baths are not supplied with a shower screen, 43 of the included in our range products show no screen included, so they're primarily designed for bathing rather than showering. There are exceptions, such as the Park Lane Worcester which is offered with a screen, if you need a combined bath-and-shower setup. If a shower is essential, look for models explicitly included in our range with a screen or plan a separate shower enclosure.

How do I match the bath feet or legs to my taps and overall style?

Feet and leg finishes vary widely, ball feet, dragon feet, chrome, white, matt black and brushed brass are all shown, so coordinate metal tones with your tap finish for a cohesive look. a Richmond bath shown with brushed brass legs pairs beautifully with brushed brass taps for a warm, period feel, while chrome legs work well with contemporary chrome fittings. Black feet add drama with matt-black taps; pick the leg style that complements your room's mood as well as the bath's silhouette.
