Close coupled toilets have the cistern sitting directly on the pan and are the most common choice here, with ten models available, so they suit most modern and traditional bathrooms and save space. Low level cisterns, shown in five options, give a more period look and work well if you're restoring a Victorian-style bathroom or want a decorative exposed cistern. If you have limited depth, a close coupled pan (many are around 360 mm wide) will fit more easily; if you want visual impact and don't mind the extra depth, a low level cistern can become a focal point.

Comfort height pans are taller, typically around 460 mm, and make sitting down and standing up easier, which helps if you have mobility issues or prefer a more relaxed, chair-like seat.
