How do I know whether to buy the 8mm or 10mm panel cove?

Match the cove to the thickness of the ceiling panels you already have or plan to buy, because the covings are made specifically in 8mm and 10mm sizes to slot neatly around the panel edge. If your panel edge measures about 8mm, get the 8mm cove; for a thicker panel edge, choose 10mm. A correctly sized cove gives a flush, tidy finish and avoids gaps that silicone would otherwise need to fill.

Will the white or white-and-chrome finish suit my bathroom styling?

White coving gives a discreet, clean edge that blends with classic or minimalist bathrooms, while the white-and-chrome option adds a slim metallic accent for a contemporary look. If your taps and shower fittings are chrome, the chrome-trimmed cove will tie the room together; for a soft, understated finish, plain white is the safest match.

Can the covings be trimmed to fit my room?

Yes, every coving is supplied as a 2700mm length and can be trimmed down to the size you need, so you can cover short runs or cut lengths for corners and joins. Because the lengths are generous, you can cut pieces to fit a compact en-suite or longer bathroom runs without buying excess separate items.

What are the advantages of using panel coving instead of silicone sealant?

Panel coving hides and seals the panel edge for a neat, continuous finish that does not discolour like silicone can over time. It gives a consistent visual trim and a more durable aesthetic, though you will need the correct size and some trimming to get a perfect fit. For example, a white cove around a bath area will stay bright and neat for years, whereas silicone seals commonly yellow in humid rooms.

How many coving strips will I need for a typical bathroom?

Work out the room perimeter in metres and divide by 2.7 metres, because each cove is 2700mm long. For example, a 2.4m by 3.0m bathroom has a perimeter of 11.0m; dividing 11.0 by 2.7 gives 4.07, so you would order five strips to cover the whole room with a small allowance for cutting.
