How do I know which panel length and height will fit my bath?

Measure the visible bath edge where the panel will sit, most straight baths match common lengths from 1500mm, to 1800mm, so you would order the same length. Check the panel height against the gap from the bath rim to the floor; many panels come in typical heights like 480mm, 560mm or 591mm. If you have a shower bath with an L-shaped end, match the panel pack sizing rather than just a single length. Leave a few millimetres for any floor unevenness or trim.

What's the difference between side panels, end panels and side & end packs, and which should I buy?

A side panel covers the long face of a straight bath, an end panel hides the short end, and a side and end pack gives you both in matching finish, handy when both faces are exposed. If only one face is visible you can buy a single side or end panel; if both faces show or you have a shower-bath layout, a pack keeps the look seamless. L-shaped or J-shaped baths need specially shaped panels or packs rather than separate straight pieces.

Which material is most practical for a family bathroom, acrylic, MDF, MFC or wood?

Acrylic panels are lightweight, fully waterproof and often come in gloss white, making them low maintenance for busy family bathrooms. MDF panels give a solid, painted or gloss finish and are economical, but you should pick moisture-resistant finishes like those on many Artis or Ceramica gloss ranges. MFC offers good durability and a wood-effect finish such as grey wood or oak, while solid wood or LDF panels give a premium look but usually cost more and need careful ventilation. For a wet shower bath you will usually be safest with acrylic or moisture-sealed MDF.
