Ventilation That Responds to Humidity
Among practical bathroom accessories, extractor fans do an important job: removing damp air before it lingers on walls and mirrors. The Xpelair Simply Silent Contour C6HTS has a humidistat that activates the fan when humidity rises above its set level, making it useful after showers and baths.
It can also be connected to the room’s lighting circuit. When the light is switched off, the timer overrun keeps the fan running for a set period to continue clearing moisture from the air.
Suitable for Kitchens and Utility Rooms
The C6HTS can also be used in kitchens and utility rooms where moisture and cooking steam need to be extracted. Your installer can select one of two speeds, providing an extraction rate of either 60 or 69 litres per second. If you’re comparing kitchen extractor fans, check that the selected speed and planned installation meet the ventilation needs of your room.
This axial fan draws air through the unit and expels it through a suitable wall opening or ducting. Ghost Air Movement Technology is designed to reduce noise from the motor and moving air. The stated sound pressure levels are 42.3 or 44.6 dB(A) at 3 metres, depending on the speed selected.
Flexible Fitting Options
The square-fronted fan can be installed in a wall, ceiling, or panel. Xpelair’s So Simple quick-fit clamp helps with panel and ceiling fitting, while enlarged cable entries and adjustable screw fixing points give your electrician room to wire and align the unit.
The fan has an IPX4 rating and is stated as suitable for bathroom Zone 1. Have a qualified electrician check its position, wiring, and suitability for the intended bathroom zone before installation.

We bought this extractor for a very small shower room with no windows as we needed something powerful to stop any potential damp. It is a really powerful extractor and sucks the steam out very fast. Noise wise it certainly isn't silent but it also isn't overwhelmingly loud so we're happy with it and just putting it on when we have a shower.
