Angled Towel Radiator Valves

Perfectly complement your new bathroom accessories with a set of angled towel radiator valves. If the pipework to your heated towel rails is coming out of the wall (as opposed to directly up out of the floor) then these are the valves that you need. They take the horizontal pipework and provide a right angle change of direction to connect to the vertical inlet on the towel rail, perfect for heating up your room in no time.

How do I know if you need angled towel radiator valves for your heated towel rail?

If the pipework feeding your towel rail comes horizontally out of the wall rather than up through the floor, you need angled valves, they turn that horizontal pipe through 90 degrees to meet the vertical inlet on the rail. Angled valves are the standard solution for wall outlets and ensure a neat, leak-free connection. If your pipes come out from the wall behind the rail, an angled 15mm valve will line up the flow to the rail inlet.

What connection size should you order?

Most products in this range are 15mm, and the filters list 15mm for the majority of items, so 15mm is the typical size for modern central-heating pipework. If your existing pipe is 15mm you can usually fit these valves straight on; if you have a different size you'll need an appropriately sized valve or an adaptor. Always double-check the pipe diameter before buying to avoid buying an incompatible valve.

Should you buy a thermostatic or a manual angled valve?

Thermostatic valves let you control the rail temperature automatically and are ideal if you want consistent warmth without fiddling; there are several thermostatic packs in the range. Manual valves are simpler and cheaper, giving on/off or basic flow control, good if you just want a constant heat from a dedicated towel rail. If you want energy control in a bathroom used at different times, a thermostatic valve is the better choice.

Do any of the angled valve packs include a lockshield, and do you need one?

Some packs include a lockshield and some don't, the product filters show rows for "Lockshield Included: Yes" and "No," and specific packs are sold as valve plus lockshield. A lockshield sits on the return pipe to balance flow through the rail, which is important on two-pipe installations or when you have multiple radiators on the same circuit. If your chosen pack lacks a lockshield you'll need to add one to properly balance the system.

Which finish and style should you choose to match your bathroom?

The range covers modern and traditional styles and finishes including anthracite, black, chrome, brushed brass, white, grey and even wooden-headed traditional valves, so match the valve to your rail and other fixtures for a cohesive look. Pick brushed brass valves for a brass towel rail and brass taps, or anthracite/black valves for a contemporary matte-black scheme; chrome remains a versatile choice for classic bathrooms. Style matters as much as function, so pick the finish that complements your rail and overall design.
