How do I pick the right size and heat output for my bathroom?

Start with the common mirror radiator sizes on offer, most models are 1800 mm high and 590–600 mm wide, with a few at 1380 x 500 mm. The majority of items produce about 2000–2999 BTU (Delta 50), which will suit small to medium bathrooms; two models deliver 4000–4999 BTU if you need more heat for a larger or poorly insulated room. If you have a small ensuite, a single-panel 1800 x 600 mm unit will typically be enough; for bigger family bathrooms look for double-panel options that raise the output. Measure your room and compare its heat requirement to the BTU ranges included in our range for each radiator.

What's the practical difference between single and double panel mirror radiators?

A single panel has the shallowest projection and is ideal where space is tight, while a double panel contains more surface area and convector fins so it produces noticeably more heat. in our range you’ll see mostly single-panel models (10) and a couple of double-panel options (2), so if you want extra warmth pick a double. a single flat 1800 x 600 mm mirror radiator gives a neat slim look and sufficient output for many bathrooms, whereas a double in the same footprint will heat a larger space or shorten the time it takes to warm up.

Can I use a mirror radiator in a humid bathroom and which finish should I choose?

Yes, mirror radiators are designed for bathrooms and help spread light while heating the room, but pick a finish that copes with moisture and cleaning. The range includes durable finishes such as white, anthracite, grey and specialist metal tones like brass, copper and true copper, plus mirrored faces; painted finishes from reputable brands like Terma and DuraTherm are made for wet rooms. If you have a shower directly beside the radiator, an enamelled white or anodised metal finish will be easier to maintain than untreated metals, and a mirrored front helps reduce the number of separate fixtures in a small bathroom.

Is an electric (infrared) mirror radiator a sensible alternative to a plumbed one?

An electric infrared mirror radiator can be a smart choice where you don’t have convenient central heating pipes or you want a quick, controllable heat source; the range includes a Towelrads Vetro Soap infrared electric option at 1380 x 500 mm. Electric models are ideal for bolt-on installations in a cloakroom or as a supplementary heater, and they heat up quickly without needing the central heating on. Bear in mind that plumbed mirror radiators will integrate with your main heating and usually give a higher continuous output for larger bathrooms.

How will a vertical mirror radiator work with my bathroom layout and mirror needs?

Vertical mirror radiators dominate the range (11 vertical versus one horizontal), so they’re perfect if you have narrow wall space next to a basin or vanity and want a full-length reflective surface. At typical heights of 1800 mm you’ll get a generous mirror for getting ready, while the slim width (500–600 mm) keeps the unit unobtrusive. Position one beside the sink or opposite a light source to maximise reflected light, and opt for a flat profile for a sleek modern look or a round profile if you prefer softer lines.
