Large radiator covers are an excellent solution for converting your large panel radiators into not just visually appealing pieces but also highly functional ones. While radiator covers add aesthetic value, they also function as a protective barrier, preventing young children or pets from coming into contact with potentially hot pipework.

Our selection of large radiator covers come in various designs, including horizontal and vertical slots, rattan, and cross patterns. They are also available in a range of colours such as grey, anthracite, white, black, and wood finishes.

Sizes start from 1520mm wide and go right through to 1720mm wide for the fixed covers, or adjustable cover sizes vary from 1410mm to 2050mm. This variety of sizes means you can get the right fit for your radiator and any other radiators around your home.

Measure the full width of your radiator including any valves and visible pipework, then match that to the cover size ranges on offer, fixed covers typically come from about 1520mm to 1720mm wide, while adjustable options cover roughly 1410mm up to around 2050mm. If your radiator sits between two fixed sizes or you have multiple radiators close together, an adjustable cover gives a neater fit. a 1600mm radiator would sit well beneath a 1520mm fixed cover only if you can accommodate the small gap; otherwise an adjustable 1410–2050mm style would be the better, tidy solution.

Will a radiator cover significantly reduce how well my radiator heats the room?

Yes, several Vale Designs models include drawers or storage, the Vale Linwood and the 1500mm large covers with drawers, which are ideal for keeping small items tidy. These options typically have the same 815mm or 960mm heights as the standard covers but add practical storage at the top or front. They're especially useful in hallways for gloves and keys, or in bathrooms for spare towels and toiletries.

What are the pros and cons of fixed versus adjustable large radiator covers?

Fixed covers (commonly 1520mm–1720mm wide) give a flush, finished look if you have a standard-sized radiator and want simplicity.
