What’s Included:
K Rad Kompact Type 21 500 x 1400mm Radiator - Double Panel Single Convector
The K Rad Kompact Type 21 500 x 1400mm Radiator - Double Panel Single Convector combines two water-filled panels with a single convector. This configuration provides increased heat output without the full depth of a Type 22 radiator, making it a practical option for many small and medium-sized rooms.
Type 21 panel configuration
A Type 21 radiator contains two heating panels with one convector positioned between them. The additional panel increases the radiating surface, while the convector helps warm the surrounding air.
This arrangement produces greater output than a comparable Type 11 radiator while maintaining a shallower profile than a double-panel, double-convector Type 22 model.
Balanced heat output and projection
The Type 21 configuration offers a useful middle ground between slimness and heating performance. It may be suitable for bedrooms, home offices and other spaces where a Type 11 does not provide enough output but a deeper Type 22 is unnecessary.
Suitability depends on the selected radiator size, stated output and the calculated heat loss of the room.
Pre-fitted grille and side panels
Factory-fitted side panels and a top grille conceal the internal convector and create a neat, finished appearance. Their ventilated design allows warm air to circulate through the radiator.
Wall-mounting hardware included
Heavy-duty L-shaped brackets are supplied for wall-mounted installation. The brackets attach directly to a suitable wall, and the radiator hangs from the holders fitted to its rear.
An air vent, blind plugs, fixing screws and screw caps are also included.
The supplied fixings may not be suitable for every wall construction. Use fixings appropriate to the wall material and the filled weight of the radiator.
Standard G1/2-inch connections
The radiator features G1/2-inch threaded connections for use with compatible UK plumbing fittings. Check the existing pipe positions and select suitable radiator valves before installation.
BS EN 442 conformity
The radiator conforms to BS EN 442, the recognised standard covering the testing and declared performance of radiators for hot-water heating systems.
Choose the correct heat output
Radiator selection should be based on the room’s heat-loss requirement rather than dimensions alone. Room size, insulation, glazing, external walls and system temperatures will all affect the output required.
A qualified heating professional can calculate the required output and confirm compatibility with the heating system.
10-year guarantee
The radiator is covered by a ten-year guarantee against qualifying manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer’s conditions and exclusions.
Balance heating performance and projection
Choose the Prorad Type 21 Double-Panel Convector Radiator for increased heat output, standard UK connections and a practical medium-depth design.

I needed to replace all my radiators as they were over 35 years old. These look better and seem to heat up quicker. Great buy.

Bought this Rad to replace an old single panel Rad.
Finish’s off a newly decorated hallway nicely and giving off a lot of heat - which is probably overkill seeing as it is the same length as the old one.
Only problem I faced was not ensuring the tails were super tight before fitting to the wall - one end started to loosen as I tightened the pipework to it (tightening in the opposite direction) - user error!

I went for this brand as it had a higher heat output than the Screwfix/Toolstation/B&Q equivalent. It is well made with a good finish. All the normal fittings included. I would buy again.
