Effective Type 21 Heating

The K Rad Kompact Type 21 radiator combines two heating panels with one internal convector. The convector is attached to one of the panels, increasing the available surface area and helping the radiator distribute more heat than a standard single-panel model.

Often described as double panel plus radiators, Type 21 models offer a useful middle ground between the slimmer projection of Type 11 panel radiators and the greater depth and output of Type 22 designs. This makes them a practical option for heating small to medium-sized bedrooms and other domestic spaces.

Neat, Complete Appearance

Factory-fitted side panels and a top grille conceal the radiator’s internal components, creating a cleaner and more finished appearance. These covers are designed to hide the convector and fittings without obstructing the circulation of warm air.

The simple exterior works comfortably with a wide range of modern and traditional room styles.

Straightforward Wall Installation

Heavy-duty L-shaped brackets are included for secure wall mounting. The radiator hangs from holders fitted to its rear, while the supplied air vent, blind plug, screws, and screw caps provide the essential hardware required during installation.

The supporting wall and fixings must be suitable for the weight of the radiator. Installation should be completed by a competent heating professional.

Standard UK Connections

G1/2-inch connection threads make the radiator compatible with common UK central heating systems. Suitable valves should be selected according to whether the pipework approaches the radiator from the wall or floor.

This model also conforms to BS EN 442, the recognised European standard covering the testing and stated performance of radiators.
