The Prorad Type 22 Double-Panel Convector Radiator combines two heating panels with two convectors to provide a high output from a practical wall-mounted design. It is well suited to larger rooms and spaces with greater heating requirements.
Type 22 double-panel design
A Type 22 radiator contains two water-filled panels with two convectors positioned between them. Each convector increases the surface area available for transferring heat into the surrounding air.
This configuration produces a higher output than comparable Type 11 and Type 21 models, making it useful where wall space is limited but substantial heating performance is required.
Efficient use of wall space
The radiator’s increased depth allows it to provide greater output without requiring an excessively wide installation. This can make it a practical choice for living rooms, dining areas and other larger spaces.
Type 22 radiators project further from the wall than single-panel models, so the available clearance should be checked before ordering.
Pre-fitted grille and side panels
Factory-fitted side panels and a top grille conceal the internal convectors and create a neat, finished appearance. Their ventilated construction allows warm air to circulate through the radiator.
Wall-mounting hardware included
Heavy-duty L-shaped brackets are supplied for wall-mounted installation. The brackets attach directly to a suitable wall, and the radiator hangs from the holders fitted to its rear.
An air vent, blind plugs, fixing screws and screw caps are also supplied.
The included fixings may not be suitable for every wall construction. Use fixings appropriate to the wall material and the filled weight of the radiator.
Standard G1/2-inch connections
The radiator features G1/2-inch threaded connections for use with compatible UK plumbing fittings. Check the pipe positions and select suitable radiator valves before installation.
BS EN 442 conformity
The radiator conforms to BS EN 442, the recognised standard covering the testing and declared performance of radiators for hot-water heating systems.
Choose the correct heat output
Radiator selection should be based on the room’s calculated heat loss rather than size alone. Room dimensions, insulation, glazing, external walls and system temperatures will all affect the output required.
A qualified heating professional can calculate the required output and confirm compatibility with the heating system.
10-year warranty
The radiator is covered by a ten-year guarantee against qualifying manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer’s conditions and exclusions.
Bring greater warmth to larger rooms
Choose the Prorad Type 22 Double-Panel Convector Radiator for high heat output, standard UK connections and a neat factory-finished appearance.

K Rad Kompact Type 22 400 x 1200mm Radiator - Double Panel Double Convector – Technical Specifications
This was the first time I ordered a radiator online and wouldn't you know it. It had been damaged in transport and so I called it in.
The service was excellent and in no time another one was ordered.
A shout out to the customer service, in my case manned by Hamza Kahn.
He was kind, professional and communications were quickly answered.
Although I didn't yet get the chance to install or try the radiator until the new one arrives, I can already see that it's good quality. If there's one remark I would make, it's that it would benefit the installers if the bleeding nipple would have come with the radiator. That way I wouldn't have to go out to buy one separately.
I will certainly buy here again.

The large double panel is a quality product purchased at a very reasonable price - and performs as expected.
The delivery was held up for reasons beyond the control of the couriers but I was advised of the problem in advance. Good communication.

Quite a bit cheaper than the well known brands, looks just as good, and pretty much the same output. Also a good Warranty period. All in all so far looks good value for money.

Excellent value and a great product too. The double radiator ensured that the product was not obtrusive and could deliver the necessary BTUs required to heat the large space - a 5m x 3m extension with an average height of 2.4m.

Well impressed with both delivery & quality. Delivered much quicker than expected and giving my plumber an earlier window. Great radiator that really gives off some heat in our Conservatory. K. Patten. Lancs.
