Why spend a lot of money for a towel rail that has already been manufactured for dual fuel use when you can buy an ordinary central heating towel rail and then add this heating element for a fraction of the price!! This one is exceptionally good value as it also includes the Tpiece.

No idea on the life of the element, but it looks neat, and arrives with the adapter and O-rings to just screw in place, and unlike many other elements it has a good length of cable so was suitable for the direct wired through a conduit setup I was dealing with.

I bought this to go with a duratherm 1500 x 600 curved white radiator. It takes a while (read couple of hours) to heat up, so I possibly should have gone with a beefier model with hindsight but once it's hot, it's hot.
It doesn't have an on/off switch which is a pain but given the heat up time, having it wired up to a timer like I've done does the trick.
