Grohe Blue Kitchen Tap Filters

To complete your Grohe Blue Kitchen Tap, you'll need a filter. These filters deliver filtered fresh water on demand, straight from your tap, so you can enjoy great tasting water around the clock.  They use a clever, five-stage purification process that removes impurities like chlorine, fine particles, and heavy metals – but still keeps the good minerals in your water. Say goodbye to bottled water, as these filters create that delicious taste without the extra cost. Please note, these filters can be expected to last around 12 months depending on your water usage and the water hardness in your area.

How long will a Grohe Blue filter last in my kitchen?

Expect a filter life of around 12 months as a general guide, but actual life depends on how much filtered water you use and the hardness of your local water. A single person who drinks a few litres a day in a soft-water area may reach the 12-month mark, while a busy family in a hard-water area will use the cartridge faster. If you use the tap for cooking and drinking every day, plan for at least one annual change and check the taste or flow for signs it needs replacing sooner.

What does the five-stage purification remove and what stays in the water?

The five-stage process removes impurities such as chlorine, fine particles and heavy metals while retaining beneficial minerals that give water a pleasant taste. That means you get water free from common tastes and odours but not stripped of the minerals you want for drinking. The result is fresher-tasting water suitable for drinking and cooking, so you can cut down on bottled water.

What's the difference between the small, medium carbon filters and the filter head?

The small carbon filter is the compact option (roughly 92 mm high with an 88 mm diameter) and is ideal where space is tight or consumption is lower; it's priced at the current product price incl. VAT. The medium carbon cartridge is taller (about 234 mm high) for greater capacity and costs vary depending on the current product price incl. VAT, so it suits larger households or higher use. The filter head is the connection/housing component sold separately for the current product price incl. VAT and is needed to hold and route the cartridge within the system.

How should I decide between the small and medium filter if my water is hard?

Hard water increases the load on the cartridge, so the medium filter's larger capacity is usually the better choice in hard-water areas to give longer service life between changes. If you live in a hard-water region and use filtered water for a family's daily drinking and cooking, the medium cartridge is more likely to last closer to the advertised 12 months than the small one. For light use or a household with soft water, the small filter will be more economical.

Will switching to a Grohe Blue filter change how my drinks and cooking taste?

Yes. Because the filter removes chlorine, fine particles and heavy metals while keeping beneficial minerals, tea, coffee and cooking water will taste cleaner and more consistent. You'll notice fewer off-flavours and no need to buy bottled water for everyday use, which also saves money. your morning tea should taste clearer and less metallic after switching to filtered tap water.
