The Fisher & Paykel Series 9 CID834RDTB4 83cm Venting Induction Hob draws steam and cooking smells down through the middle of the hob, so the kitchen needs no cooker hood and the wall above the worktop stays clear.

This venting induction hob measures 217 x 830 x 515mm, or 8.5 x 32.7 x 20.3in, and draws up to 7.4kW. It recirculates through a grease filter tray and three ceramic odour filters, and carries an A+ energy rating.

Downdraft extraction

The extractor sits between the zones and pulls steam down at the pan. A venting hob therefore suits an island or a worktop under a window.

Nine fan speeds
