Single or twin levers?

Both single and twin lever taps have the same level of performance, so which you choose mainly comes down to personal preference! 

Single lever taps control both the hot & cold temperature and flow of your water at the same time, making it super quick and easy to use. 

Twin lever taps control your hot and cold water separately along with the flow, helping you fine tune your temperature to a T.

U, Angled or D spout?

When choosing your kitchen tap, not only do you want it to look good but you want to make sure it is practical. U, angled and D shaped spouts provide height to the unit, giving you ample space for washing up which is great for those annoyingly large pots and pans.

When it comes to a contemporary touch then an angled or D spout is an excellent way to create a feature. The curved U spout is a classic design which is popular in all styles of kitchen, whether it's modern or traditional.

Which Rangemaster finish will suit my kitchen and be easy to keep looking good?

If you want low-maintenance and a classic look, chrome is the most common finish here and is praised for staying easy to keep sparkling. For a modern, bold feel you might pick matt black or brushed brass, both of which are well represented in the range and work beautifully against light or dark worktops. Do note that textured finishes such as brushed nickel or copper can hide water marks better than polished chrome but may need occasional polishing to keep their original sheen.

Should I opt for a single lever or twin lever tap for everyday use?

Most of the range uses twin levers, which suit traditional kitchens and give a balanced, period look, while single-lever taps offer quicker one-handed temperature and flow control and suit contemporary designs. If you regularly wash large pans or need fast temperature adjustment, a single lever will be more practical; if you're matching period fittings, twin levers will blend in visually.

Do I need a pull-out spout or a swivel spout for my sink?

Swivel spouts dominate the collection and work well if you have a double or large single bowl because they give wide reach across the sink. Pull-out spouts are rarer but are ideal if you want flexible, directed rinsing for vegetables or awkward pans. choose a pull-out tap if you often fill tall pots or need a hose-style spray for rinsing.

How do I match a tap to my home's water pressure?

Look at the pressure suitability labels: 15 of these taps are suitable for all systems, six are rated for low pressure (0.1–0.4 bar), eleven for medium pressure (0.5–0.9 bar) and three for high pressure (1 bar+). If you have a gravity-fed or older system, select one of the low-pressure or "suitable for all systems" models; if you have a modern combi or high-pressure mains, medium or high-rated taps will give the best flow.

What does a Rangemaster 4-in-1 boiling water tap offer, and is it worth the price?

The 4-in-1 model included in our range (Geo Intense) combines boiling, hot and cold mains water plus filtered water via an under-sink tank, so you get an instant boil function without a separate kettle. It is more expensive upfront, the model shown is around the current product price, but it saves time and frees up worktop space if you make a lot of hot drinks or need quick boiling water for cooking. The trade-off is the cost and the under-sink tank space required, but for a busy household the convenience can justify the investment.
